How do Entocort CR 3 mg Capsules work?

  • Entocort CR belongs to a group of medicines called “corticosteroids” (also known as “steroids”). These medicines are synthetic versions of the steroid produced naturally in the body and are often used as a short-term treatment in Crohn’s disease during a flare-up.1

  • The action of Entocort CR 3 mg Capsules is specific to the parts of your digestive system that are inflamed. “CR” stands for “controlled release”, meaning budesonide is targeted to where it’s needed and gradually released.1

  • Locally-acting medicines may cause fewer side effects than medicines that affect the whole body.1
